IMMEDIATE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY.

TEXAS ACADEMY of ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS
(TAACO IS A NON-SMOKING FACILITY)

Full and or part time position Animal Care & Control, Humane Law Enforcement Instructor.

Duties include but not limited to teaching regularly scheduled Academy classes in Giddings. Remote CE course as required. Some clerical and office duties maybe required. Must have a minimum HS diploma/GED, AA degree or above preferred. Years of work experience maybe substituted for college hours/degree. Minimum 5 years ACO field experience, Animal Care & Control Field - Vet Tech/Assistant also preferred. Must have complected at least the DSHS Basic ACO course, with Advanced & Administrative preferred. Minimum one year experience working in and/or managing an animal care facility highly preferred. 30% to 40% travel required with some over night stays ( All travel expenses paid) Some travel to New Mexico maybe required. Representing TAACO at regional and annual ACO conventions (average 3 annually) If not already qualified, take required courses and qualify to teach FEMA 100-800, CPR-First Aid (HUMAN) Salary paid bi-monthly, depending on experience & qualifications (1st & 16th - minimum salary $24,000 + bonuses)

Two weeks paid vacation annually. Off all major holidays, comp time for any weekends worked. Uniforms required and furnished. Must be well groomed and adhere to accepted Law Enforcement appearance and PROFESSIONAL code of ethics. Residing in the immediate area of the Academy is required with is 30 days of employment.
